Developed in collaboration with Midwest Working Dogs, the Operator Lead is a mission-driven, two-piece lead system built for handlers who demand versatility, security, and speed when it matters most.
At the core of the system is our Quick Release Ejector (QRE), mounted using a three-point attachment method that integrates with a standard two-belt duty belt. The QRE securely anchors to the inner and outer belt without shifting or pulling free, yet it can be installed or removed without disassembling your entire duty belt—eliminating the need to remove pouches, holsters, or other equipment.
The Operator Lead is designed around real-world deployments. Standard length is 28.5 inches, the "sweet spot" for a hip lead, while custom lengths are available to meet your operational requirements.
When circumstances change, so can your leash. If you need to transition to another task or weapons platform, simply actuate the Quick Release Ejector. Built with proven parachute-release hardware, it is engineered to perform under stress and designed to be operated decisively.
For deployments where a free-running dog is required, the lead can also be released directly from the dog, allowing the K9 to continue the mission without dragging hardware. Eliminating loose metal reduces unnecessary weight, noise, and the potential for equipment to strike the dog while running at full speed.
Every Operator Lead is proudly handcrafted in the USA using premium materials and purpose-built components trusted by working dog professionals. It is equipment designed with one objective: helping handlers perform more efficiently while giving their K9 every operational advantage.
Mission-driven. Handler-focused. Proudly made in the USA.
